Cripple Creek and Victor

Gold Camp Christmas
Through Jan. 1, Lighting of the Mine Headframes (Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining District). Take a drive with a self-guided tour through the mine headframes, decorated with impressive Christmas light displays or take a Lighted Headframe Tours that begin Dec. 12 at 5:15 p.m. at the Aspen Mine Center. A shuttle will tour through the headframes and arrive in Victor for the Victor Parade of Lights and the Victor Gold Bowl.  The Parade of Lights, a bonfire, caroling and festive activities will kick off Victor’s evening festivities.  Those interested in taking this tour may either take the shuttle from Cripple Creek at 5:30 p.m., or go directly to Victor via their own transportation.  Reservations are not being accepted, so arrive early to ensure a seat.

Dec. 13, throughout the Day on Bennett Avenue. Enjoy shopping at Bazaar and local gift shops, s’mores and marshmallows roasting on an open fire. Free hot chocolate, cider, and skate tickets.

Dec. 12, 6 p.m. Parade of Lights (Victor Avenue – 5:30 p.m. Parade Line-up at 4th and Victor). Party in the Plaza (Burn Barrels, Cookies, Cocoa, and DREAM hot cocktail fundraiser (3rd Street Plaza). 7 p.m. Lighting Contest and Parade Prizes Announced.

Dec. 13, 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. Breakfast with Santa (Fortune Club diner). 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Elf Emporium (Victor Hotel). Free Ice Skating all weekend at Brian’s Park in Victor.
