Bronco Billy’s is located 34 miles southwest of Colorado Springs on the gentle slopes of Pikes Peak in Teller County. The casino is easily accessible from Denver by going south on I-25 toward Colorado Springs and taking Exit 141 off I-25, heading toward Manitou Springs and eventually Cripple Creek. Bronco Billy’s is located at 233 E. Bennett Ave. and the trip from Denver takes about an hour and a half each way.
Once you reach the casino, there’s no need to worry about a quick turnaround trip in one day. Play at the casino and stay at its own Bronco Billy’s Hotel, which is located down the street at 151 E. Bennett Ave.
Bronco Billy’s Hotel is a historic hotel and was formerly known as the Independence Hotel. The hotel was named after the famous Cripple Creek Independence Lode discovered in 1890, which was one of the largest gold strikes in history. The hotel has recently been remodeled, but still offers authentic Victorian charm, and its cozy rooms with a queen bed include updated amenities like flat screen LCD TVs for comfortable bedside viewing.
Room rates are extremely reasonable, beginning at $62 a night Sunday through Thursday and at $99 on the weekends, Friday and Saturday. An appetizing breakfast at the casino’s Home Café is included with each stay. By joining the casino’s MVP Club, a player can also earn a free overnight stay. Bronco Billy’s Casino offers two other restaurants for your enjoyment besides the Home Café: Baja Billy’s Restaurant and Cantina, and The Steakhouse.
The Home Café is open 24 hours a day and serves great hamburgers and sandwiches, salads and lunch specials. The Café continues to offer its popular 49 cents breakfast special with eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, every day from 2 to 11 a.m. A favorite special at the Home Café is its $2.99 Steak and Eggs, offered all day, every day.
After enjoying an early breakfast at the Home Café, early birds can also earn up 5x points on slot machines from 3 to 7 a.m. daily during November.
Baja Billy’s Restaurant and Cantina specializes in authentic, freshly made Mexican cuisine featuring classics like burritos and enchiladas, and modern fare like fish tacos. A sumptuous appetizer of green chili is available for $7. Huevos Rancheros are just $7 and chicken, shrimp or steak fajitas are $14. Baja Billy’s is open from noon – 8 p.m. on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday, and from noon – 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant’s warm and inviting ambience with a kiva style fireplace will cause you to stay and relax in the glow of the fireplace.
The Steakhouse claims the fame of being the “Best Steak Dinner” in Cripple Creek. One of the house specialties is Steak Oscar, a delectable center-cut tenderloin steak grilled to your preference and topped with crabmeat, asparagus and homemade Béarnaise sauce. The Steakhouse hours are from 4 – 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, 2 – 10 p.m. on Saturdays, and 1 – 8 p.m. on Sundays. In addition to its great restaurant fare, the casino is serving a 99 cents shrimp cocktail all day, every day, at Bar 5. Don’t miss this sumptuous seafood special!
During the month of November Bronco Billy’s is offering a huge Zoobilee Giant Plush Giveaway. What child – or your own child at heart – could resist one of these soft, giant stuffed animal toys as a gift during the holiday season?
