Dostal Alley Brew Pub & Casino located at 1 Dostal Alley in Central City is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and serves up some mean hand-tossed pizza and fresh beer.
Dostal is one of seven casinos in Central City and the only microbrewery in Gilpin County. This summer they brought back one of their ales, “American City,” by popular demand. Manager Steve Boulter remarked that summer tourists, especially from Germany, have been “blown away” by the quality of Dostal’s beer.
The brewpub specializes in a variety of ales and lagers with seasonal offerings on tap. In the recent past their brew has been the recipient of medals from the Great American Beer Festival hosted by Denver every September. The 2010 Festival is sold out and Dostal is one of 522 national participants in the competition.
The historic building housing the brewpub was built in 1874 and is a warm and friendly place to gather while enjoying an evening in Central City. General Manager Lisa Boulter works hard in running the family-owned business and as Steve says, “We know all of our customers first-hand and that’s important to us.”
The brewpub is conveniently accessible from its own large parking lot and offers up-close motorcycle parking with an on-site attendant. Stop by Dostal Alley the next time you’re in town and enjoy some exceptional brews on tap!
