Black Hawk’s Lady Luck Casino at 340 Main St. opened the newest restaurant in town on Oct. 27, the comfortable and relaxed Otis and Henry’s Bar and Grill, located on the second floor of the casino. O&H offers the great food you’d find in your own neighborhood bar and grill along with other favorite dishes you’d make at home.
Steak-n-eggs entrée, $7.99
Otis and Henry’s offers a breakfast menu all day featuring delicious house-made favorites. A scrumptious breakfast favorite is “all-you-can-eat” pancakes with bacon or sausage, breakfast potatoes, and your choice of toast, buttermilk biscuit or another pancake for $4.95. Another favorite choice is the chicken fried steak platter with country gravy, two eggs served any style, breakfast potatoes, and your choice of toast, buttermilk biscuit or a pancake for $8.95. A Continental Breakfast is offered from 7 – 11 a.m. for $4.99.
Lunch and dinner feature a fresh soup and salad bar for $4.99 and entrees include signature dishes like the Ace of Clubs, a traditional triple-decker with bacon, ham, turkey, American cheese, Swiss cheese, mayo, lettuce and tomato served with your choice of coleslaw, French fries or fresh fruit for $7.95. O&H offers a tantalizing baked mac-n-cheese dinner topped with cheddar cheese and bread crumbs toasted to perfection, served with a slice of garlic bread and your choice of French fries, baked or mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies, and a dinner roll for $7.95.

The popular O&H filled up fast with guests during a recent visit. Daily specials, including prime rib, were listed on a board at the entrance of the restaurant near the cashier’s counter. My breakfast steak-n-eggs featured a perfectly grilled 6-ounce steak and two well-scrambled eggs to order, breakfast potatoes, and a house-made biscuit ($7.95). Because it was close to lunch, I also treated myself to a dessert of an apple pie slice with ice cream ($4.95). It was heavenly.

The last temptation gauntlet for me to run before leaving O&H was located next to the cashier’s counter. This is where fresh brownies, cookies and other irresistible delicious treats from Boulder Breadworks, an award-winning organic artisan bakery, are appealingly nestled among several pastry shelves. Don’t even consider resisting these temptations; they’re the perfect complement to a well-made, home-style meal from O&H.
Otis and Henry’s is open from 7 a.m. – 2 a.m. daily. A take-out menu features appetizers, entrees and desserts. An O&H special dessert is their house-made milkshakes made from chocolate, strawberry or vanilla ice cream blended with milk and topped with whipped cream for $3.75.
