Summer fun at Saratoga Casino … not over yet!

NEWER-Blackhawk-Logo-4C_FINALLast summer, Saratoga Casino Black Hawk introduced its newly appointed general manager, Shawn Harris, and his plans and aspirations for a better Saratoga. “I made some big promises and held up some lofty ideals, and in the last year, our hardworking team truly came together to turn them into reality notes Harris.

“To deliver on these promises, we focused on listening to our guests’ requests and came up with various ways to delight our players,” he adds. Shawn had promised enhanced promotions in the  upcoming year, as well as better loyalty offers and rewards. This summer Saratoga has done just that by unveiling the benefits of its new and improved Player Extras Club as well as throwing the most exciting Independence Day weekend celebration in the casino’s history.

Launched at the beginning of July, Saratoga’s Player Extras Club features additional rewards for players of all levels and the introduction of a new top tier, Diamond Elite, which boasts benefits such as a $250 birthday gift for its members, a complimentary annual voyage with Norwegian Cruise Line, a 40% discount in the Hilltop Shop and on dining (even in the upscale Mill City Chophouse) and Promo Play reimbursement for ATM and credit card fees. Diamond Elite members will also enjoy special perks such as priority valet service, a $500 congratulatory status gift, a privately catered party each year, exclusive VIP events, executive suites to major sporting events and tickets to sold out shows, plus a surprise high-end holiday gift.

To become a member of the premier Diamond Elite tier, players need to earn 100,000 points, but anyone can reap the rewards of the free membership and earn points redeemable for cash or Promo Play and comps to use at Saratoga’s two restaurants, the Mill City Chophouse and Main Street Café, as well as its gift shop, the Hilltop Shop. Right now, brand-new members receive $10 in Promo Play for slots or $10 in Promo Chips for table games just for opening an account. Plus, new members can get up to $100 in Promo Play if they record a loss on the day they sign up (Saratoga reimburses 30% of any losses on your first day), and could win another $100 in Promo Play, if they are among the top five new members to earn the most points at the end of the month.

“No matter what kind of player you are, we have something for you,” explains Rashad Wilson, director of marketing, who has given Saratoga’s promotions a big boost. “Whether you’re a slots or table games player, a Weekday Warrior who prefers the quieter hours or just come up to Black Hawk for some serious weekend fun, you’re bound to experience mountains of winning at Saratoga.”

Indeed, even though there is no age requirement for Weekday Warriors eligibility, the Monday through Friday rewards are favorites for many seniors who are savvy in getting more bang for their buck and compare the different player’s clubs around town. While the promotion is in effect, Saratoga offers $2 breakfast, $4 lunch and $6 dinner in the Main Street Café and same day bus ticket redemption for $20 cash or $25 in Promo Play with only 75 base points. As if that weren’t enough, players take advantage of the highest point multiplier in the market for up to 40X points on Mondays and Tuesdays and, for a limited time, 2X points from Wednesday through Sunday.

Weekends are lively at the top of Black Hawk’s Main Street with Saratoga’s entertaining promotions, incredible giveaways for top-of-the-line items including Go Pro cameras and Keurig coffee makers, and a pit bustling with winners, big payouts and friendly dealers – something that could excite even the most over-stimulated Millennials.

Take for example July’s $48,000 Money Machine Mania, where you could be one of six winners each Saturday night to spend 30 nerve-racking seconds inside a cube grabbing as much money as you can. Haven’t we all seen it on game shows and wanted to try it? Or if giant game boards are more your style, head to Saratoga on Fridays in August for the $40,000 Suited to Win, when you could instantly win $1,100 in Promo Play if you are dealt the oversized Ace of Diamonds.

Saratoga players who swipe at a promotional kiosk to register for drawings receive one free entry and earn additional entries into most drawings with every 50 base points or 30 minutes of rated play on table games. The kiosks feature fun interactive games for extra Promo Play, and are another new addition aimed at providing an easier way for guests to stay on top of their rewards and offers and check account balances.

In keeping things fresh, Saratoga is also sprucing up its table games. They’ve brought back a few player favorites including Bonus Six, STREAK Blackjack, and Craps with Bonus Craps and Sharp Shooter. There’s a new comfortable seating area by the pit, and one can even enjoy a Main Street Café meal straight at the table. New unique table games layouts will soon enhance the player experience.

If you missed the big Ride, Win & Boom extravaganza during Independence Day weekend, don’t despair! While it may seem difficult to top the energy of the fireworks rooftop party, not to mention the 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible and Harley Davidson giveaways preceding it, the Saratoga t eam promises an even bigger Labor Day weekend. And now we know that they can deliver on their promises.

“We always do something extra special for holidays,” adds Wilson. “We know that for many of our guests, holidays like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and even Cinco de Mayo are some of the rare times when the whole family can come together, and we like to make a celebration out of it – for your family and ours.” Maria, the winner of the classic ’64 Corvette rejoiced at getting the $30,000 check with her daughter, Natalie, who was also celebrating 4th of July in Black Hawk.

There will be even more cause for celebration at Saratoga as the $60,000 Summer of Winnings giveaway continues through the end of August, with six winners of up to $1,000 in Promo Play every Saturday, one winner of $5,000 cash on July 30 and August 27, and one winner of $10,000 cash on August 27.

To find out what’s in store for you next and keep up with all the happenings at the property, visit SaratogaCasinoBH.com, the casino’s brand-new and completely redesigned website. In addition to its sleek new look, the site boasts better functionality with an easier to navigate menu, a 360 ̊virtual tour of the casino floor, a soon-to-come individual player login, and state-of-the-art electronic submission forms for win/loss statement requests and employment applications.

The most unique features of their new website are the short videos in the headers of each page. “We wanted to accurately capture the atmosphere of our boutique casino, so we opted to portray real Saratoga players rather than hiring models. We killed two birds with one stone – not only did we show our true fans, who really came through for us by volunteering to be a part of the video shoot, but we didn’t spend money on actors or make-up or hair, enabling us to pass on the savings in the form of bigger prizes,” elaborates Wilson.

So what’s next for Saratoga Casino Black Hawk?

“We continue to listen to our guests, collect feedback, and make steady improvements in all areas,” said Harris. “Players are noticing the positive changes; our 4.3-star rating on Facebook is rising and we’re making an even bigger push to earn the coveted five stars. We’ve been through a lot of transitions, but we’re finally on solid ground and can only get better from here on.”
