More tips to save time and achieve an advantage over fellow competitors:
1. Always get the name of the person to whom you are talking. People pay attention when they know you are taking notes.
2. Know the decision makers and treat them well. Waste little time with people who cannot offer you anything personally or professionally
3. Always ask people who want your time or money to make their requests in two sentences, then, decide if you want or need to hear more.
4. If possible and appropriate, schedule meetings on the phone or online conferencing instead of physical meetings. Always be prompt.
5. If a face-to-face meeting is necessary, avoid having meetings in your own home. Go to other people’s homes or offices (or a casino) for meetings because you can leave a lot quicker from their place than you can get them to leave yours.
6. Avoid people who waste time.
